The Punished Helm is a helmet used as a crude form of slave protection by Slavers.
It was created by and it often used by - and there-by associated with the mountain slavers, however it is not uncommon to see the helm used by other factions such as the Plains Slavers or even non-slaver/anti-slaver groups like the Punished Shinobis.
The helmet consists of two semi-spherical halves, bolted or screwed together at the center. The entire helmet is covered in uniform holes allowing just enough visual input for the wearer while they perform labour tasks like mining or farming, which require little visual-aquity.
Other information:
It is most commonly found in the mountains and with travelling/pop-up merchants. Two Punished Helms can be smelted down in a forge for one iron ingot.
The helmet is regularly a boon to combat in the early game, with successful users normally requiring above-average faith and combat levels. However, due to its abundance and affordability it may also serve as a "better than nothing" solution for cheap armour to new players.[planned feature]>Dev<
